Skin health

Ceramides are key components that make up about 35–40% of the skin’s lipids. They help protect the skin barrier and keep the skin moisturized. Ceramides defend the skin from external irritations and prevent moisture from evaporating, helping the skin stay healthy and elastic. However, factors like aging, UV rays, and environmental stress gradually reduce the ceramides in the skin. When this happens, the skin barrier weakens, moisture is lost easily, and the skin can become dry and less firm.
